Forces and loosening characteristics of a new winged chisel plough

This study was devoted to verifying the performance of various configurations a winged chisel plough (WCP) in soil bin. The new tool assessed at three wing depths (5, 10 and 15 cm), bend angles (10, 20 30 °), rake (7.5, 22.5 °) with replications using completely randomised design constant depth speed cm 1 m·s–1, respectively. draught vertical forces, disturbed upheaved areas plus efficiency loosening were measured during tests. results revealed that forces significantly increased by increasing depth, angles. disturbance area an increase While upheaving decreased angle, effect angle on not significant. maximum 268.1 cm2·kN–1 achieved for cm, °, °. A significant improvement along maintaining considerable portion residue surface suggest WCP should be adopted conservation tillage.
